Berkshire Perceptual Development Workshop

July 9-10, 2008: Daniel Kish and Shawn Marsolais, President of Blind Beginnings, Canada, deliver a seminar and workshop on perceptual development and self directed discovery to the mobility staff at the Sensory Consortium in Berkshire, England. The workshop involved 8 blind children ages 5 to 13, and their parents.

Darlington UK Perceptual Development Workshop

July 3-4, 2008: Daniel Kish and Shawn Marsolais, President of Blind Beginnings, Canada, deliver a workshop on perceptual development and self-directed discovery organized privately by two very dedicated mobility officers from that region of Darlington, England. The workshop was attended by about 20 mobility officers from around northeast England, and involved three blind student assistants.

June 15, 2008: Seven year old Sam, a student of World Access for the Blind, is featured along with Daniel Kish, Professor Magnus Wahlberg, and Milo the Dolphin in an international documentary about animal sonar.

May 27, 2008: Canadian Para-Olympic champion Shawn Marsolais is featured on a half-hour Canadian television documentary learning to ride a bicycle from Daniel Kish.

Professional Development Workshops in India

May 23-29, 2008: Daniel Kish and Perceptual Mobility Coach Brian Bushway conducted student training and professional development workshops in Calcutta, India, with aim to establish the first known formal mobility program in the region. This project was sponsored by Calcutta Mercy Ministries.
